Reflexology is an amazing tool for health and wellness practitioners who recognize the benefit of whole-person centered care. In allopathic settings, it provides a non-pharmacological option for pain and anxiety management, and for any person, in any environment, it offers the benefits of a regulated nervous system. It does this by causing a ‘knee-jerk’ reflexive response towards the body’s natural and innate healing intelligence for greater health, wellness, and rejuvenation by stimulating specific points on the feet known as “reflexes” that affect the body as a whole.
This 12-hour, 3 day course, participants will:
- Discover the history of reflexology and it’s cultural influences and foundations within early neurology and evolution.
- Learn how to view the feet through the lens of anatomical reflex maps and reflex zone therapy.
- Explore each individual anatomical system, its function and the correlating foot reflexes.
- How to use reflexology pressure techniques and how to target specific areas of need.
- Be able to put together a full reflexology treatment and have the skills to perform it well.
- Participants will observe reflexology being performed, receive hands on work, as well as give reflexology.
- With ample hands-on time, this class will allow everyone to experience just how pleasurable and profound reflexology truly can be.
Participants must have formal training in anatomy and physiology to take this course, or currently be enrolled in class for their trade program or degree.
This course is designed for health care and wellness professionals to integrate foot reflexology into their current practices. This course DOES NOT grant participants the title of a Reflexologist or to state that they have been Certified in Reflexology. It does however grant participants the ability to say they have completed specialized training in Foot Reflexology by an ARCB (American Reflexology Certification Board) Board Certified Reflexologist. Participants who take this course, and later enroll as an apprentice, or training to become a Certified Reflexologist with Heidi J. Mireles at a future date TBD, will be given the opportunity to apply the 12 hours of this course towards future course work and receive discounted tuition.
This course offers 12 ARCB CE credits.
